The workshop titled “An Integrative Approach to Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Postpartum Period” was organized in collaboration with the General Directorate of Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey and the Traditional and Complementary Medicine (GETAT) Institute of the Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB).
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Esra Karabal Arda, Director of the Department of Traditional, Complementary, and Functional Medicine Practices at the Ministry of Health, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Güler Kazancı, President of the TÜSEB Institute of Traditional and Complementary Medicine.
The event was attended by Dr. Tasnim Atatrah, Head of the World Health Organization Turkey Office, Prof. Dr. Eda Becer, Advisor to the Presidency, as well as experts and experienced midwives from across Turkey.
The workshop addressed the integration of traditional and complementary medicine practices during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, based on evidence-based approaches. Participants shared their knowledge and experiences, discussing the integration of practices that support the health of mothers and babies into the healthcare system
